The song and the system are the same question: how do you take something unformed and make it real — on purpose, and then again next week.
I make music and I write about what trying to make that my full-time job keeps teaching me: attention, taste, identity, discipline, and the strange work of becoming someone capable of the thing you’ve always dreamed of.
Some of it is craft. Some of it is architecture — the systems that let a creative life hold weight. Most of it is just the record of what it’s like doing it in the moment.
